General measurement tips:
1) When ever possible, measure first thing in
the morning before the natural swelling in the legs and ankles begins.
2) When measuring circumference (around the
ankle or thigh),
take snug measurements on the skin, not over socks or slacks.
Take care not to draw the tape too tight, causing a depression on the skin,
or too loose where there is slack.
For Knee Length styles
1) measure
around the widest part of the calf,
2) then for the
length, measure from the bend of the knee to the
floor.

For Thigh Length styles
1) measure around
upper thigh. Do not use this style if measurement is over 25"!
2) measure around the widest part of
the calf,
3) for the length, measure
from the crease of the buttocks (gluteal furrow) to the floor.
